This position is an opportunity to leverage your research skills and experience in data analysis to drive meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal communities in NSW. As a Research Data Specialist, you will work closely with the Senior Data Strategist to inform data strategy and collaborate with team members to undertake data cleaning, extraction, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of research skills, experience in place-based approaches, and quantitative methods as well as an understanding of culturally appropriate ways of working with Aboriginal groups. You will be responsible for coordinating internal and external stakeholder requests for data and/or research, maintaining key data sets, and designing performance measures, tools, and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate data requests and provide timely support to stakeholders
  • Maintain and update data sets to meet analysis and reporting needs
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement performance measures and tools
  • Support data cleaning, extraction, analysis, interpretation, and reporting activities
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of two years' experience in a similar role, either coordinating data requests and/or data system administration and data cleaning, analysis, and reporting. You should also have demonstrated skills in communicating research and evaluation terms.
