Instructional Designer Position

Litmos is seeking a highly skilled Instructional Designer to develop innovative and high-quality e-learning content that meets the needs of our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of educational principles and methodologies, as well as excellent written language skills, including writing in plain language, structural editing, copy editing, and proofreading.

You will work closely with product managers and subject matter experts to develop learning strategies, research source material, and write outlines and content for courses. You will also assist in content development projects, which may include research, resource scheduling, and project coordination.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in instructional design or a relevant occupation, and a qualification in Education, Communications, or a similar field.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop training content in accordance with project briefs.
  • Research, review, analyze, and assemble source content.
  • Write learning strategies and course outlines.
  • Write and structure content in course storyboards with recommendations for interactivity, user experience, and visual elements.
  • Review existing courses and revise to include content changes and user experience improvements.
  • Peer review storyboards.
  • Review courses at each stage of production and quality assure for content accuracy, appropriate interactivity, and user experience.
  • Write course information and metadata, such as course descriptions.
  • Research and write thought blogs, articles, and other customer-facing materials on learning and instructional design topics.
  • Liaise with product managers and subject matter experts.
  • Research new and emerging education best practices and suggest improvement initiatives.
