About the Role

The Aboriginal Case Manager is responsible for managing a caseload of Aboriginal offenders, conducting risk assessments, preparing case plans, and providing interventions to reduce reoffending.

The unique purpose of this role is to develop and implement cultural support plans for Aboriginal offenders and work with Aboriginal justice networks to identify appropriate support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing relationships with Aboriginal organisations and other stakeholders to strengthen the case management process
  • Communicating sensitively and effectively with members of the Victorian Aboriginal Community
  • Providing strong personal guidance and advice, and negotiating from a position of strength
