Wildlife Officer Mammals JobWe are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Wildlife Officer to join our team at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.The successful applicant will have a Certificate III in Wildlife and Exhibited Animal Care, and previous experience as a Mammal Keeper is highly regarded.
  • Energetic and friendly personality, with confidence when dealing with visitors from all over the world.
  • Excellent wildlife handling and husbandry skills, including macropod experience.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and participate in substantial walking in a workplace that contains animals, including birds and reptiles.
  • Ability to carry or support up to 10kg for extended periods.
  • A current Driver's license and First Aid qualifications are desirable.
About the RoleThis part-time position involves achieving high standards of mammal husbandry, maintaining animal exhibits, conducting keeper talks, and other duties as required.What We OfferOur team members enjoy:

Key Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
  • Certificate III in Wildlife and Exhibited Animal Care
  • Previous experience as a Mammal Keeper, preferably with macropod experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical fitness to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
