Located on the southern end of Gold Coast, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary showcases a diverse collection of Australian wildlife and non-native exotics.

This role entails promoting and selling animal encounters, delivering exceptional experiences to guests while training and caring for involved animals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, entertaining, and professional interactions ensuring high guest satisfaction.
  • Promote and perform daily one-on-one animal encounters, meeting targets and exceeding expectations.
  • Train/condition wildlife, handle animals, monitor health, make presentations, and assist with other duties as required.
  • Educate guests about native and exotic wildlife conservation issues in a fun and friendly manner.
  • Host group presentations and participate in wildlife photo sessions.

Key Requirements:

  • Certificate 3 in Captive Animal Management.
  • Demonstrate ability to deliver professional performances, work from scripts, and present unscripted talks to all ages and nationalities.
  • High level of energy, communication skills, and teamwork skills.
  • Previous experience in animal care and handling is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work with various species, including birds, reptiles, and mammals.
  • Experience in tourism with excellent customer service.
  • Fitness to walk long distances, stand for periods, and carry up to 10kg.
