We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wildlife Encounter Specialist to join our team.

Job Description

The Wildlife Encounter Specialist will be responsible for delivering engaging experiences to guests, promoting animal encounters, and training & caring for the animals involved.

  • Deliver professional, entertaining, informative, and engaging public performances to small groups of all ages & nationalities.
  • Work from scripts and deliver unscripted presentations.
  • Be comfortable hosting group presentations and participating in wildlife photo sessions.
  • Assist other departments with presentations & group tours.
  • Train/condition wildlife and handle animal care duties, monitoring animal health, presentations, and other tasks as required.
  • Educate guests about animal conservation issues in a fun and friendly manner.
  • Meet daily photography and product sales targets.
Requirements
  • Hold Certificate 3 in Captive Animal Management.
  • High level of energy, communication skills, and teamwork skills.
  • Previous experience in training and care for animals highly desirable.
  • Reliable, flexible, and positive attitude and high standard of personal presentation.
  • Ability to work with native and exotic species, including birds of prey, parrots, reptiles, and mammals.
