Conservation professionals seeking an opportunity to work with native wildlife may be interested in this role as a Wildlife Officer at a leading conservation tourism attraction.

About the Position:

This is an exciting chance to join our Mammal team at Currumbin, located on the stunning Gold Coast.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent mammal husbandry skills and a strong eye for detail. The successful candidate will hold or be studying Cert III Captive Animal Management and possess excellent customer service skills to deliver high levels of service in a busy work environment.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Mammal care and health
  • Exhibit maintenance
  • Keeper presentations and other duties as required

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Certificate 3 Captive Animal Management or equivalent
  • Wildlife handling, husbandry skills and previous experience as a Mammal Keeper (macropod experience highly regarded)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High energy levels, communication and teamwork skills
  • Manual Driver's license and current First Aid qualifications
  • Flexibility, reliability and a positive attitude
