Job Summary

The Mercure Townsville is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of Celsius Restaurant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspiring and developing our staff while maintaining our high standards of food and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Manage, run, and control the operational floor of the restaurant according to business demand, ensuring seamless service delivery and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Service Standards: Set, implement, and review service standards to ensure consistent quality, exceeding guest expectations and driving business growth.
  • Team Leadership: Conduct training, performance evaluations, and counselling of staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention.
  • Talent Acquisition: Recruit and select team members who align with our standards and values, ensuring a diverse and skilled workforce that drives business success.
  • Operational Efficiency: Efficiently manage rosters and costs to optimize operations, minimizing waste and maximizing revenue.
  • Guest Feedback: Review guest feedback, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Compliance: Ensure WH&S and sustainability commitments are upheld within the department, maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery, promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading and managing a successful team in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Outgoing personality with a positive attitude, initiative, and the ability to think creatively.
  • Strong work ethic and exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Immaculate personal presentation and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food and service.
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate, with the ability to work shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
