Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity exists for a professional to take on a newly established Incident Investigations & Monitoring role.
About the Role:
This role provides an excellent opportunity for a Work Health and Safety or Radiation Protection professional with extensive experience in incident/accident investigations to work collaboratively across the organisation with relevant stakeholders to ensure all incidents are addressed in a timely, holistic and compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and conduct the triage of incidents, focusing on safety and radiological incidents in the Incident Management tool.
- Conduct comprehensive incident investigations for safety and/or radiological incidents supporting the delivery of just culture outcomes to get to root cause.
- Coordinate specialists across the organisation to assist in the investigations, managing the investigations holistically.
- Verify the appropriateness of findings and actions identified from incident investigations.
- Maintain oversight of the closure of incident investigations and monitor the effectiveness of the completed actions and findings from incidents.
- Provide expert advice and support for incident investigations.
- Assist in the management of the Incident Management tool.
As a safety professional, you will also be required to develop relationships as a basis for influence, mentoring and providing integrated technical and strategic advice on WHS and Radiation Protection goals and objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess a degree in a related field, such as Occupational Health and Safety or Radiation Protection, and have extensive experience in incident/accident investigations. They will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
