Warehouse Supervisor Job Description

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the effective day-to-day operations of the Finished Goods Warehouse. This includes ensuring the allocation of day shift orders, coordinating the loading of orders, promoting continuous improvement activities, and preparing monthly management reports.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure allocation of day shift orders are completed
  • Coordinate the loading of orders
  • Promote continuous improvement activities
  • Prepare monthly management report – factory expenses, overtime, absenteeism, forklift costs, health centre visits etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring all containers and trucks are loaded as per Electrolux loading standards
  • Responsible for the accurate scanning of all allocated product and the accurate loading of all transport vehicles
  • Responsible for the investigation of all load exceptions and initiate corrective action
  • Liaison directly with transport suppliers regarding despatch and delivery of containers
  • Responsible for the daily co-ordination and management of despatch and delivery time slots
  • Maintain inventory records and ensure validity of actual stock
  • Preparation of and management of quarantine stock
  • Ensure production lines are kept clear at all times
  • Respond appropriately to urgent requests for units and liaise directly with assembly supervisors
  • Responsible for the preparing and maintaining an efficient layout and product locations within the warehouse
  • Monitor house keeping standards
  • Administer the Kronos time keeping system for warehouse personnel
  • Ensure that EMS, BPD, and KPI boards are maintained.
  • Monitor labour requirements and maintain sufficient levels for despatch and distribution
  • Implement and maintain leave management plan
  • Monitor absenteeism and lateness and provide counseling and/or discipline where appropriate
