Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled English Teacher to join our team and contribute to the academic success of our students. As a Senior English Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality lessons that foster reading and writing proficiency in English VCE and 7-10.

Your primary responsibility will be to engage students in critical thinking, discussion, and analysis, fostering a deep understanding of the subject and its real-world applications.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to write and deliver lessons that provide students access to their preferred futures.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Appropriate qualification and current registration as a teacher.
  • A passion for teaching English in years 7-12 with the ability to write and deliver an outstanding English curriculum.
  • Understanding of current research-based pedagogies and the ability to apply them to an English curriculum.
  • Proven ability to deliver effective teaching and learning programs.
  • Commitment to professional development.
  • Excellent personal communication, administrative and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and child safety, including engaging with children from diverse needs and backgrounds.
  • Strong ICT skills relevant to teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to co-curricular activities.
