Job Description

We are seeking an experienced English Language Teacher to develop and deliver high-quality lessons, to maintain and build on our academic success.


Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching English Language to VCE and 7-10 students
  • Helping students develop a passion for the subject, whilst developing their skills in both reading and writing
  • Engaging students in critical thinking, discussion, and analysis, fostering a deep understanding of the subject and its real-world applications

Requirements
  • Appropriate qualification and current registration as a teacher
  • A passion for teaching English in years 7-12, with a proven ability to write and deliver an outstanding English curriculum
  • Understand current research-based pedagogies and have a proven ability to apply them to an English curriculum
  • Demonstrated effective delivery of teaching and learning programs
  • Commitment to professional development
  • Excellent personal communication, administrative and organisational skills
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and child safety, demonstrating an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children, including children with diverse needs and backgrounds
  • Strong skills in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT), especially as they relate to teaching and learning
  • Commitment to co-curricular activities
