Job Description:

As a Product Service Consultant/Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing support services to Caterpillar's MineStar Solutions department. Your primary responsibility will be to investigate, troubleshoot, and diagnose application and technical problems, followed by corrective actions and permanent resolutions.

Key aspects of the job include:

  • Identifying and resolving Mining Technology (MineStar) hardware and software issues for dealers and customers
  • Implementing and utilizing standard support processes to respond, restore, and resolve issues
  • Advocating on behalf of dealers and customers to resolve technical product issues with product development engineering

Additional responsibilities include participating in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, completing NPI product support deliverables, providing 24/7 level 3 product support, coordinating field follow objectives as part of NPI programs, and communicating with dealers regarding status, problem troubleshooting, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a functional team. A self-starter who takes initiative to accomplish tasks, experience in providing first call technical support for enterprise-level applications directly with customers, and knowledge transfer between team members are also essential.

Technical requirements include a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT, or related fields, advanced Windows Server VM knowledge and experience, experience utilizing Oracle, SQL Server, TCP/IP networking, Microsoft client and server platforms, and process-focused with the ability to execute service and incident management processes.
