Compliance Specialist for International Student Affairs

We are seeking an exceptional Compliance Assistant to join our International Student Compliance Team at UNSW Australia.

This role plays a vital part in managing and upholding the contractual obligations of the Australia Awards Scholarship portfolio. Reporting directly to the Manager, International Student Compliance, you will contribute to ensuring our compliance and reporting requirements are met while supporting the education and student experience of international students.

The ideal candidate is someone who can provide proactive administrative support across various activities, including data management and record keeping. They should be able to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and respond effectively to queries from scholarship recipients. Additionally, they must possess excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

A key aspect of this role involves assisting in the onboarding process for new scholarship recipients, coordinating events, and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate should have experience working in higher education administration and a solid understanding of the ESOS Act (2000) and National Code 2018.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support in the management of Australia Awards Scholarships
  • Responding to internal queries and providing guidance to scholarship recipients
  • Maintaining accurate records and data compliance
  • Processing new applications and updating databases
  • Assisting with onboarding processes and coordinating events
