**Job Role Overview**

The role of Legal Advisor involves providing expertise to the Response Unit in ensuring compliance with government requirements related to formal and informal requests from the Commonwealth Scheme Operator.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide authoritative guidance on legal policy and law reform relevant to the National Redress Scheme, under the supervision of the Manager of the Response Unit.
  • Liaise with state government agencies and the Commonwealth Department of Social Services to ensure timely, accurate, and agreed responses and interactions with the National Redress Scheme.
