Job Description:

The Role of Operations Assistant State Inspector - Regional North involves conducting inspections and investigations to improve workplace safety outcomes, delivering education and engagement programs for workers and employers, responding to serious workplace incidents as part of the emergency response service, providing practical advice and guidance to industry and stakeholders, and participating in the planning and development of targeted projects to reduce harm in workplaces and support SafeWork NSW Regulatory Priorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Confident in engaging and building relationships with workplaces and stakeholders.
  • Skilled at explaining complex information in clear, practical terms.
  • Able to balance capability building with compliance and enforcement in NSW workplaces.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments with competing priorities.
  • Passionate about improving workplace safety through targeted industry specific proactive programs.
