Health and Safety Risk Manager

Job Description:
As a seasoned Health and Safety Risk Manager, you will be responsible for proactively managing the corporate health and safety risk profile. This pivotal role provides independent oversight, challenge, and assurance over the organisation's health and safety risk management practices.
Key responsibilities include leading the implementation and continuous improvement of the Corporate HS Risk Management Framework, applying Bowtie risk analysis to identify, assess, and monitor critical controls for high-consequence risks, maintaining and updating the corporate HS risk profile, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk management processes.
The ideal candidate will have strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, high level of integrity, independence, and professional judgement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, Risk Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years' experience in health and safety risk, assurance, or audit roles.
- Deep understanding of the Three Lines of Defence model and Bowtie risk analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing assurance programs in complex, high-risk environments.
