Human Resources Manager
Job Description:The Human Resources Manager will play a pivotal role in cultivating a thriving, values-based culture where staff are supported and talent flourishes.
As the key strategist for human capital, this leader will advise leadership on workforce planning, organisational design and change. They will also oversee HR processes, contracts and performance reviews to ensure compliance with best practice.
This senior-level role will provide guidance on staff relations and conflict resolution, coordinate professional learning and leadership programs, and champion staff wellbeing and create a supportive workplace.
The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, be skilled in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite, and have experience in education or values-driven organisations.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership
- Design and implement HR strategy aligned to school goals
- Advise leadership on workforce planning, organisational design, and change
- Lead initiatives that promote collaboration and inclusivity
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Manage recruitment for academic and professional roles
- Build talent pipelines and elevate candidate experience
- Promote diversity and inclusion in hiring
- People Operations & Compliance:
- Oversee HR processes, contracts, and performance reviews
- Ensure compliance with Australian legislation and industry best practice
- Manage employee documentation and systems
- Employee Relations & Development:
- Provide guidance on staff relations and conflict resolution
- Coordinate professional learning and leadership programs
- Champion staff wellbeing and create a supportive workplace
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related discipline (Master's preferred)
- Experience:
- Demonstrated HR experience, ideally in education or related sectors
- Skills:
- Proven success leading strategic projects and recruitment campaigns
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of workplace laws, Awards, and HR compliance
- Skilled in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
