About the Role

This position involves serving as a senior executive responsible for credit risk management.

  • Represent the organization's credit policy in key decision-making processes and provide expert advice on credit policy to project teams.
  • Review and approve project documents, including business cases, business requirements, business processes, design, testing, and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with credit risk management frameworks, approved business strategies, and risk appetites while adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify relevant controls that meet APS 221 obligations and standards.
  • Attend project working group meetings and contribute necessary inputs.
  • Nurture relationships with line and credit teams, as well as internal/external professional advisors, to achieve optimal outcomes for the organization.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in banking or financial services with a proven track record in credit decisioning and credit policy development.
  • Knowledge of legal, compliance, and regulatory frameworks governing institutional and business lending.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic and operational plans that yield excellent results.
  • Proven skills in organizing, project management, effective problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • People management, training, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to operate with an agile and adaptable mindset, contributing across multiple programs/projects.
