About the Company:

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Risk Manager to lead the development and execution of credit risk management for their real estate portfolio. This critical role will oversee risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards, while driving business growth in an evolving market.

The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with expertise in credit risk management specific to the real estate industry, including commercial and residential sectors. You will play a pivotal role in shaping decision-making processes, safeguarding the company's assets, and supporting its long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and oversee comprehensive credit risk management frameworks to manage the company's real estate investments.
  • Analyse and assess the creditworthiness of potential investments, clients, and counterparties using data-driven methods and tools.
  • Monitor real estate portfolio performance and provide actionable insights on emerging risks to senior management.
  • Partner with internal teams (e.g., underwriting, financial modelling, origination, legal) to structure transactions aligned with corporate risk appetite.
  • Design and implement metrics, models, and reporting frameworks for continuous assessment of credit risk.
  • Deliver detailed presentations and reports to leadership on portfolio performance, risk exposure, and market trends.
  • Stay ahead of industry best practices around credit risk management and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field (Master's degree or relevant certifications such as CFA, FRM preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in credit risk management, preferably within the real estate sector.
  • A strong command of credit analysis tools, modelling, and methodologies for evaluating complex real estate portfolios.
  • Excellent understanding of market dynamics, lending principles, and investment analytics in real estate.
  • Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with teams and present findings effectively.
  • Proven ability to balance business development goals with risk management safeguards.
  • Proficiency in risk modelling software, Microsoft Excel, and data interpretation tools.
