Competitive Remuneration PackageA salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, plus benefits including 18 weeks paid parental leave and up to an extra 18 weeks of super paid on further periods of unpaid parental leave.
Job DescriptionAs a Signalling Site Engineer on the Inland Rail Beveridge to Albury Tranche 2 Project, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation and commissioning of signalling systems on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of signalling systems on construction sites, in compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, to ensure the seamless integration of signalling systems with other project elements.
- Conduct on-site inspections and quality checks to verify the proper installation and functioning of signalling equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the project team, identifying any risks or delays and proposing mitigation measures.
- Assist in the preparation and review of project documentation, including signalling designs, test plans, reports, and as-built drawings.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to coordinate the procurement, delivery, and installation of signalling equipment and materials.
- Support the project team in resolving any technical challenges or issues related to signalling systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices in signalling engineering.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with clients, stakeholders, and relevant authorities regarding signalling system requirements, progress, and approvals.
- Adhere to project timelines and budget constraints, assisting in managing resources efficiently.
To be successful in this key role, you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience as a Signalling Engineer or in a similar role, within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of signalling systems, including equipment, control systems, communication protocols, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in signalling engineering.
- Understanding of safety regulations, risk management, and quality control procedures related to signalling systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and stakeholders.
