About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Signaling Engineer to join our Victorian Rail team in Melbourne as our Principal Signaling Engineer. This is a senior leadership role that will require you to provide technical expertise, manage projects, and collaborate with talented professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide expert advice on conventional and digital signaling systems, ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects of varying complexity, scope, and size, monitoring progress and adapting plans as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders, including senior leaders within the Rail industry, to ensure effective project delivery and client satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Senior or Principal-level Signaling Engineer, preferably with local expertise (MTM and V/Line).
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Possess RPEV status
    • Demonstrated competence in providing key technical expertise across various high-profile projects
    • High level skills in applying safety in design practices and processes
    • Competent in managing risk on substantial rail projects
    • Delivered best client outcomes/options saving time and costs
