Job Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity to work as an expert clinical nurse consultant in the Telestroke Service, providing high-level advice and consultancy to referring sites across New South Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading practice development initiatives and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to standardize stroke care.

The ideal candidate will have advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice. They will also have leadership expertise in strategic and clinical service planning, as well as experience in managing organisational and cultural change.

About the Role

In this role, you will be working at Prince of Wales Hospital, with opportunities to travel to up to 22 referring sites across NSW. You will be responsible for overseeing clinical supervision of referring site stroke coordinators, supporting care management plan development and implementation, and promoting the advancement of clinical practice.

You will also play a key role in evaluating the NSW Telestroke Service, coordinating case reviews and clinical follow-up to assess patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse/Midwife
  • Minimum seven years full-time equivalent post-qualification experience
  • Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership expertise in strategic and clinical service planning
