The UNSW School of Clinical Medicine is seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to play a pivotal role in strengthening Education-Focused academic capacity in the Discipline of Critical Care.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • A PhD in a related discipline, or relevant work experience
  • Medical qualification registerable in NSW and specialist training preferably in a Critical Care field
  • Proven commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using various pedagogical approaches at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels
Desirable Skills
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning
  • Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds
  • Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills

This role is vital to the delivery and sustainability of the Discipline of Critical Care teaching program and the successful implementation of the Undergraduate Medicine Program Redesign.

About the Role

The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will be part of a broader strategy to foster excellence in clinical education and support the next generation of medical professionals. The role involves developing scholarly research and professional activities both nationally and internationally.

The successful candidate will contribute significantly to achieving the teaching and service missions of the School and Faculty. A PhD in a related discipline, or relevant work experience, is required, along with medical qualification registerable in NSW and specialist training preferably in a Critical Care field.

The ideal candidate will have proven commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments, as well as demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using various pedagogical approaches at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.

Desirable skills include evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence, demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning, ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds, and highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
