Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team at Sharp and Carter. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expansion through financial leadership and commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership: Oversee the financial administration of the business, including statutory reporting, taxation, and treasury.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and cash flow planning, ensuring alignment with corporate deliverables and timelines.
  • Financial Analysis: Deliver timely, accurate, and effective analysis and reporting of financial and operational performance.
  • Business Partnership: Partner with the Managing Director and Executive Leadership Team to develop and implement strategic plans, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and assess business problems, formulate recommendations, and present solutions to key stakeholders.
  • Communication: Develop and present communication materials to the Executive Leadership Team, Board, and shareholders.
  • Business Analysis: Conduct business analysis activities within agreed timeframes and cost parameters, ensuring identified solutions provide efficiencies in business.
  • Risk Management: Assess and analyze risks associated with new initiatives and their impact on stakeholders.
  • Commercial Acumen: Provide commercial thought leadership to drive business improvement and growth.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting best practices and driving business excellence.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: CA/CPA qualified with a proven track record in broad, strategically focused roles.
  • Experience: Proven history of business partnering with senior executives and experience in a scale-up business, preferably multi-site.
  • Skills: Strong MS Excel skills, systems integration and implementation experience advantageous.
