Operational Technology Specialist

This is a key operational role within the Information Systems team, focused on delivering technical support and system maintenance services.
- The primary responsibility is to provide leadership to the Service Desk team and work alongside them to provide responsive user and systems support across various technology systems.
- This includes network administration, hardware and software support, business application administration, communication tools, and security platforms. Additionally, it involves being actively involved in day-to-day service desk operations – troubleshooting issues, configuring and deploying equipment, resolving incidents, and supporting end users across all sites and assets.
Out-of-hours support on a rotating roster basis as the Information Services Duty Officer is mandatory.
Whilst this is a non-operational position, it may provide support to operational staff during major or declared operations.
Intrastate travel to support units and offices will be required.

To minimise the impact of emergencies and strengthen community capacity to recover swiftly and safely, we play a crucial role in supporting other emergency services including Victoria Police, Country Fire Authority, and others.
Our specialist teams provide a 24/7 response to road accidents and trauma incidents.
