About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our team of technical resources in the delivery of engineering and project activities across a portfolio of Defence acquisition and sustainment programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide a dedicated team of technical resources in the day-to-day delivery of engineering and project activities.
  • Architect the project engineering framework and set the strategic roadmap for delivery.
  • Build and guide cross-functional technical teams and engage with customers to ensure targeted milestones and real-time outcomes are aligned.
  • Act as a vital information conduit between project staff, customer stakeholders, executive management, and third-party vendor resources.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience working as an Engineering Manager or Lead Systems Engineer with direct oversight of dedicated technical/engineering teams.
  • Extensive engineering experience deploying complex systems, platforms, and/or equipment within Australian Defence acquisition and sustainment project environments.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and/or military communications platforms (e.g. two or more of: RF, UHF/VHF comms, wireless, voice and data, satellite/SATCOM systems, etc.).
  • Bachelor degree within a relevant Engineering field (or the equivalent industry and/or military experience).
  • Active, high-level Australian Security Clearance (NV1 as a minimum).
