About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Smart IQ Engineering team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our highly skilled engineering staff and ensuring that company objectives and goals are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technology Leadership
    • Be responsible for delivering a platform that delights customers while managing the health of the code base through continuous refactoring and management of technical debt.
    • Foster a supportive environment that facilitates collaborative teamwork, professional development, and encourages initiative, enthusiasm, cross-team cooperation, and high-quality output.
    • Contribute to setting the technological roadmap and clearly and concisely communicate goals, tasks, and other organizational needs to your team.
    • Be an active participant in global release planning, security reviews, and compliance activities such as audits.
    • Model operational excellence, owning your team's operations including code quality, code reviews, automated testing, and security.
    • Lead a team of engineers at various stages of their career, actively investing in their growth and development.
    • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new engineering staff.
  • Team Contribution
    • Provide coaching and leadership in software best practices and automated test strategies.
    • Have a passion for continuous improvement.
    • Be an active participant in a fortnightly sprint cycle.
    • Deepen your experience in the technologies used by the team.
    • Comply with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience in leading an engineering team in a technical capacity.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
  • Operational experience with teams responsible for building SaaS solutions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
