The Role

We are seeking a values-driven Administration Assistant who will work as a collaborative member of the staff team, providing efficient accounting and administration support to the accounts team in order to enhance services at Brisbane Recovery Services Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting assistance including generating invoices, paying accounts, banking, journal entries, client fees (trust), payroll, petty cash, and assisting with bank reconciliations.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the finance team.
  • Customer Service, ensure the provision of prompt and efficient customer service to internal and external customers through phone, face to face and online enquiries.
  • Continuous Quality Improvement, be involved in the team for continuous quality improvement.
  • Team Support, participate in team activities, attend staff meetings and demonstrate a supportive approach to other staff members which contributes to the overall team effectiveness.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Accounting / Business certificate/training.
  • Ability to work and communicate as a team is essential.
  • Self-motivated, high level of initiative and strong work ethic.
  • Sound presentation and communication skills (both oral and written) to be able to interact positively with a variety of people.
  • Solid level of computer literacy in MS Office and computerised accounting systems and databases.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • 2 to 3 years accounting experience with some level of autonomy.
