Job Description:

This is a highly rewarding opportunity for an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team. As a key member of the maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy diesel mechanics, with experience working on excavators, drills, and pit fitters.

You will be required to perform general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component changeouts to a high standard. Additionally, you will need to source technical information from relevant reference manuals and OEM systems.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for this role, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment
  • General maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component changeouts
  • Sourcing technical information from relevant reference manuals and OEM systems
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic Certificate III Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment)
  • Experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
  • Post-trade experience in heavy diesel mechanics
  • Strong background in working on excavators, drills, and pit fitters
