Job Title: Heavy Diesel Fitter

This is a permanent full-time position in various locations including Australia - Muswellbrook, Australia - Newcastle, and Australia - Singleton, NSW.

About the Role:
  • Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment.
  • Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component changeouts to a high standard.
  • Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems.
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
  • Conduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilisation.

You will have the opportunity to expand your skills and work on a variety of heavy earthmoving equipment. You will be part of the Mt Pleasant Maintenance team, working with experienced professionals in the industry.

About You:
  • Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic Certificate III Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or similar.
  • Preference for experience working with excavators, drills, or pit fitters.
  • Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry.
  • Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component changeouts, and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience with Liebherr and CAT large earthmoving equipment.
