Lead Surgical Admissions Team

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead our surgical admissions team at a hospital and day surgery.

The successful candidate will oversee the Pre-Admission Clinic, Discharge Planner, and Cardiac Liaison Nurse teams, promoting quality customer service and excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote quality customer service and excellence in patient care
  • Provide leadership and implement clinical strategies in alignment with local health services plan
  • Uphold and promote mission and values of a healthcare organisation
  • Manage human, material, and financial resources effectively
  • Develop and advance clinical specialty as centre of excellence
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Recent clinical experience in acute care and/or hospital setting
  • Ability to work independently and proficiently during periods of high demand and activity
  • Proven ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Desire to join team committed to caring for others in a healthcare organisation
