Care and Support Professional

The role involves working with children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse or neglect.
As a key support worker you will be part of a dedicated team ensuring a safe homelike environment where these young people can thrive.
This includes supporting them to learn independent life skills develop problem-solving skills and build positive relationships with others.
The successful candidate will work in a residential home operating 24/7 and will be required to work a roster that includes afternoon sleepover and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting children and young people aged 12-17 years with their daily needs including personal care.
- Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing dressing and toileting.
- Providing emotional support and stability to the young people in our care.
- Hold a Diploma in Community Services or related field OR hold relevant experience and complete a Diploma qualification offered by Life Without Barriers.
- Experience supporting Children Young People and/or People with disability ideally within a residential care setting.
- A current Provide First Aid certificate.
- A current driver's licence.
- Willingness to assist with activities of daily living if required.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check NSW Working with Children Check and NSW Residential Care Workers Register check.
