Disability Care Specialist Role

The primary function of a Disability Care Specialist is to provide personalized support to individuals with disabilities, promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life.

This involves assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores, as well as offering emotional support and companionship.

As a Disability Care Specialist, you will work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and develop tailored care plans that cater to their requirements.

To ensure we maintain high-quality service standards, we require:

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability or Individual Support.
  • A minimum of 6 months of full-time experience within the disability sector.
  • A current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Previous experience in caring for individuals with Brain Trauma and/or High Complex Care.
  • A valid Manual Handling Certificate issued within the last 12 months.
  • A Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
  • An NDIS Worker Clearance or willingness to obtain it.
