Job Description

  • We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Support Worker to join our team, working with individuals who require high levels of support due to complex physical and mental health needs.
  • The successful candidate will provide person-centred care, focusing on the individual's strengths and abilities, and work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • You will be required to administer medication, manage complex healthcare routines, and provide personal care such as showering, continence care, dressing, and mobility assistance.
  • You will also be responsible for supporting clients displaying physical aggression and behaviours of concern, implementing restrictive practice strategies in line with behaviour support plans, and maintaining accurate daily documentation and incident reporting.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a disability or aged care setting, supporting clients with complex needs.
  • Cert III/IV in Disability, Individual Support or related field.
  • Proven ability to de-escalate conflict and respond safely to physical aggression.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid & CPR, Australian Driver's Licence, and reliable vehicle.
