Job Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our quality function in the ANZ region.

The ideal candidate will be accountable for leading a high-performing team and driving business objectives around maintaining Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance and adherence to the Quality strategy.

The role requires a recent pharmaceutical quality leadership experience, with a proven track record of delivering results and driving change management initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the future ANZ Quality strategy
  • Lead a high-performing and competitive team through coaching, mentoring, and talent development
  • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Dechra Quality Management System
  • Receive external regulator audits and lead site Change Management/CAPA system
  • Ensure deviations are investigated, reviewed, and approved
  • Conduct and coordinate Quality training as required
  • Maintain and further develop the site Quality Control Laboratory
  • Establish, document, validate, and implement all quality control test procedures
  • Assist in planning and layout of production and manufacturing areas
  • Quality oversight of contract analysts and subcontract manufacturers
  • Evaluate and approve alternate materials and vendors for commercial use
  • Prepare and present annual Quality Management Review to leadership team
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement to maximise overall efficiency while reducing errors
  • Ensure effective GMP and other regulatory bodies standards are met
  • Lead and inspire all staff by being seen as a role model who champions the DECHRA values & behaviours

About You:

  • Recent Pharmaceutical Quality Leadership experience
  • Experience within production processes and GMP Principals
  • Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment requirements & legislation
  • Experience of receiving regulatory and audit inspections
  • Demonstrated change management capabilities
  • Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence concepts and approaches
  • Pharmaceutical Product Development understanding
  • An understanding of Veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturing and associated regulations
  • Suitable for occasional international travel
