As a Water Management Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance at our Burnie site.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves managing the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), including sampling, monitoring, and testing. You will ensure daily operations comply with local authority and legislative requirements.

  • Develop and implement process improvements through various projects.
  • Report environmental incidents and performance data.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support the development and maintenance of environmental systems.
Your Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating and managing the WWTP, including sampling, monitoring, and testing.
  • Ensuring daily operations comply with local authority and legislative requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements through various projects.
  • Reporting environmental incidents and performance data.
  • Collaborating with other departments to support the development and maintenance of environmental systems.
About You

We are looking for an experienced professional with:

  • Qualifications in water/wastewater operations, environmental science, or a related field.
  • A sound understanding of environmental regulatory requirements and monitoring.
  • Experience in process knowledge and operating SCADA/SAP is desirable.
  • Competency in using Microsoft programs.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to think critically and plan activities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Saputo Dairy Australia offers a competitive annual salary of $80,000-$110,000 AUD, depending on experience, plus learning and development opportunities and the ability to grow in your own way.
