Agricultural Development Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Development Specialist to join our team in Tasmania. As an Agricultural Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in working closely with dairy farmers and regional networks to ensure engagement with our Research, Development and Extension programs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Encouraging participation in events and fostering opportunities to discuss emerging issues across regional areas
- Supporting the facilitation and delivery of capability building
- Developing and implementing programs that drive herd and feed innovation, manage climate and environment, and promote Australian dairy and commitment to sustainability
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Degree qualification in agriculture, environment or equivalent, or extensive knowledge of the Australian dairy industry
- Demonstrated experience in working with farmers and groups of farmers, including the delivery of information and programs
- Strong communication skills and ability to utilise technology to make an impact in extension
The ideal candidate will also understand how to promote events and capture data using our CRM (Salesforce).
