About The Role
This is a permanent full-time role; candidates must possess and maintain a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and/or ServSafe Certification. As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee the safe, effective, and efficient functioning of the restaurant under the guidance of the Restaurant Manager. You will prioritize guest satisfaction, ensuring exceptional Quality, Service, and Cleanliness for our patrons through effective team leadership. You will manage a Business Portfolio (business system) to drive outstanding business outcomes while fostering a culture of inclusivity aligned with our core values: Growth Mindset, People Power, 100% Guest Obsessed, Stronger Together, Make a Difference.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  1. Ensuring Safety Leadership:
    • Oversee daily operations with an emphasis on safe work practices that comply with local regulations and Hungry Jack's standards.
    • Enforce safety and security protocols.
  2. Fostering a Guest-Centric Culture:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise your team to deliver outstanding guest service consistently, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction.
    • Assess employee performance, manage promotions, conduct disciplinary discussions, and address employee grievances as appropriate.
    • Guarantee that guests receive prompt service and high-quality food.
    • Implement the National Marketing Plan during your shifts to ensure a consistent guest experience (correct pricing, proper display of marketing materials).
    • Address guest inquiries and feedback regarding products and services, providing suitable corrective actions or escalations to ensure satisfaction.
    • Manage National incentive programs during your shifts to enhance the guest experience.
  3. Brand Development (Business Planning):
    • Utilize your Business Priority Plan to continually enhance Restaurant performance.
    • Regularly review business outcomes and communicate with your team, implementing clear action plans for improvement.
    • Engage in community initiatives to boost visibility and foster brand loyalty.
  4. Leading a High-Performing Team:
    • Establish a culture that emphasizes growth, trust, and accountability.
    • Build your Restaurant Team to ensure effective shift coverage with skilled and productive employees.
    • Develop and maintain a succession plan to engage and retain internal talent.
    • Collaborate with your Training Coach to implement the Restaurant's Training Plan.
  5. Business Management (Profit and Controllables):
    • Accurately forecast sales to ensure staffing and inventory align with guest needs.
    • Plan and prepare work schedules, assigning specific duties to employees.
    • Manage controllables (own portfolio) to meet profit objectives.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits, maintain stock records, and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
    • Order inventory based on sales projections.

Skills / Experience: AQF Certificate II or III or a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
