About The Role
This is a permanent full-time position; the applicant must hold and maintain a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and/or ServSafe Certification. As an Assistant Manager, you will oversee the safe, effective, and efficient operation of the restaurant under the guidance of the Restaurant Manager. You will prioritize guest satisfaction, ensuring exceptional Quality, Service, and Cleanliness for our patrons through effective team leadership. You will manage a Business Portfolio (business system) to achieve outstanding operational results while fostering a culture of inclusiveness aligned with our core values: Growth Mindset, People Power, 100% Guest Obsessed, Stronger Together, Make a Difference.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Ensuring Safety Standards:
- Oversee daily operations with a focus on safe work practices that comply with local regulations and Hungry Jack's standards.
- Enforce safety and security protocols.
- Fostering a Guest-Centric Environment:
- Recruit, train, and supervise your team to deliver exceptional guest service consistently, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Assess employee performance, manage promotions, conduct disciplinary discussions, and address employee concerns appropriately.
- Guarantee that guests receive prompt service and high-quality food.
- Implement the National Marketing Plan during your shifts to ensure our guests enjoy a consistent experience on every visit (correct pricing, marketing materials displayed accurately).
- Address guest inquiries and feedback regarding products and services, providing appropriate corrective actions or escalation to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Manage National incentive programs during your shifts to enhance the guest experience.
- Enhancing Brand Presence (Business Planning):
- Utilize your Business Priority Plan to continuously improve Restaurant performance.
- Regularly review business outcomes and communicate them to your team, implementing clear action plans for improvement.
- Engage in community initiatives in your local area to enhance visibility and build brand loyalty.
- Leading a High-Performing Team:
- Establish a culture that emphasizes growth, trust, and accountability.
- Develop your Restaurant Team to ensure effective shift coverage with productive and skilled employees.
- Create and maintain a succession plan that engages and retains your internal talent pipeline.
- Collaborate with your Training Coach to implement the Restaurant's Training Plan.
- Managing Business Operations (Profit and Controllables):
- Accurately forecast sales to ensure staffing and inventory align with guest demand.
- Plan and prepare work schedules and assign employees to specific roles.
- Manage controllables (own portfolio) to meet profit objectives.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, maintain stock records, and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Order inventory as needed based on sales forecasts.
Skills / Experience: AQF Certificate II or III or a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
