About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Financial Leader to join our client's executive team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering financial strategies and driving business growth in an engineering or technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves developing and implementing comprehensive financial plans, managing cash flow and foreign exchange, and providing strategic insights to the executive team and board. You will also oversee tax strategies, assess financial risks and opportunities, and establish robust internal controls to protect company assets.

In addition, you will lead and mentor a team of accountants, drive performance improvement initiatives, and support profitability through margin analysis and financial forecasting. Ensuring compliance for payroll, quality, and IT functions is also a critical aspect of this role.

Requirements
  • A CPA or CA qualification with significant experience in a senior finance role within an engineering or technical sector.
  • Strong financial acumen, including expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management abilities, with experience partnering with executive teams to drive business outcomes.
