Victoria's TAFE Network is renowned for its quality and innovation, playing a pivotal role in the state's Vocational Education and Training system. As a part-time board director, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of TAFE by contributing your expertise to metropolitan and regional boards across Victoria.

About the Role

The Minister for Skills and TAFE invites applications for part-time positions on TAFE Boards, with the goal of building a high-performing governance team that can drive growth and productivity for Victoria. You will be working closely with the Victorian Government to implement and extend the state's skills legacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Corporate Governance: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to ensure effective governance and decision-making processes within the TAFE Boards.
  • Higher Education and Vocational Training: Leverage your experience in higher education and vocational training to drive innovation and excellence within the TAFE Network.
  • Financial Management: Contribute your financial management expertise to ensure the effective allocation of resources and management of risks.
  • Strategic Thinking and Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation and strategic thinking, driving the development of new skills and opportunities for Victorians.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of corporate governance, higher education, and vocational training, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in strategic risk management and audit is also highly desirable.
