Technology Transformation Specialist

Job Description:

Seeking an experienced professional to lead the transition of information and communication technology services from a current arrangement to a shared services model with another government agency.

This role will provide technical and managerial support to the in-house IT team, comprising four full-time staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive ICT strategy, overseeing the transition of ICT services, and providing strategic advice to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an ICT strategy aligned with the agency's business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee and manage the transition of ICT services, ensuring value for money and continuity of services.
  • Provide informed advice to stakeholders and collaborate with business leaders across the agency.
  • Build and maintain relationships within and between agencies, negotiating and managing contracts as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff, ensuring the security and reliability of IT systems and data.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ICT Operations team, including management of staff, resources, and budgets.
  • Define, approach, facilitate, and ensure satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects, providing effective leadership to the project team.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of delivering successful ICT projects and initiatives.
  • Experience working in the public sector.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and implement comprehensive strategies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Ability to obtain necessary clearances.
