Overview

As a Data Center Inventory and Asset Management Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of Microsoft's global data center infrastructure. This position involves performing cycle audits, executing incoming and outgoing deliveries, coordinating security escorts for third-party vendors, and documenting inventory movements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision and escalate issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to initiate warranty claims and process failed vendor hardware devices, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Leverage process knowledge and best judgment to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate logical information within various inventory management systems.
  • Ensure detailed physical inventory tracking and staging, and reconcile and report inventory discrepancies as needed.
  • Participate in the destruction of data-bearing devices following SLAs and Microsoft policies.
  • Notify management about ordering stock shortages and escalate any issues.
  • Comply with security and data management policies, embodying our culture and values.
