We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team at Monadelphous. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe execution of our major projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide HSE Advice and Expertise: Offer guidance and support to project teams to manage HSE issues and improve HSE performance, culture, and management.
- Conduct HSE Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety procedures and standards.
- Monitor Work Practices: Regularly monitor work practices to ensure adherence to safety and environmental procedures and standards.
- Ensure Compliance with HSE Legislation: Ensure that all HSE processes and activities comply with relevant HSE legislation and company standards.
- Implement HSE Improvements: Provide hands-on support to implement HSE improvements, plans, or solutions.
- Stay Up-to-Date with HSE Best Practices: Maintain knowledge of contemporary HSE practices to recommend and implement effective HSE solutions.
- Analyze HSE Performance Data: Conduct routine and ad-hoc analysis of HSE performance data to identify performance trends and areas of concern/risk at a project and site level. Propose and follow-up on recommendations for action.
- Minimum 3+ Years Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in a site-based HSE role, ideally working for similar construction contractors on multi-disciplinary scopes of work.
- Certificate IV in OHS/WHS: Certificate IV qualification in OHS/WHS.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment: Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment preferred.
- Applied First Aid Certificate: Applied First Aid Certificate.
- Strong Understanding of HSE Legislation: Strong understanding and working knowledge of Australian HSE legislation and industry standards.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident User of MS Office Suite: Confident user of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Strong Commitment to Safety: Strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Innovative Problem-Solving Skills: Innovative approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and successful delivery methods.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver a message effectively.
- Proactive and Motivated: Proactive, motivated mindset and someone who thrives when working under pressure.
- Valid Australian Driver's License: Valid Australian Driver's License.
- Proof of Right to Work in Australia: Proof of right to work in Australia.
