We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Advisor to join our NSW Operations Team, focusing on delivering essential HSE support across multiple sites in our Hunter Valley Region.
This is a permanent position based at our Mt Thorley Office, with relocation assistance available for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be provided with a comprehensive tool of trade package.
Key Responsibilities- Provide HSE Advice and Support: Offer expert guidance and support to Projects and/or Sites to resolve HSE issues and improve HSE processes and performance.
- Coordinate HSE Management System: Implement and maintain the HSE Management System, including HSE registers, and prepare HSE information for dissemination to others.
- Monitor Work Practices: Ensure adherence to safety and environmental procedures and standards through regular monitoring of work practices.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure all HSE processes and activities, including JHA's and permits, comply with relevant HSE legislation and company standards.
- Facilitate Training and Meetings: Organize and facilitate training sessions, site inductions, toolbox topics, and group discussions on HSE-related matters.
- Establish Relationships: Develop effective relationships with Project/Business Unit HSE and Management teams.
- Experience in NSW Resources Sector: While experience in the NSW resources sector is highly desirable, it is not essential.
- Certificate IV in OHS and/or Environmental: A Certificate IV qualification in OHS and/or Environmental or related area is essential.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment: A Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or similar is preferred.
- Strong Understanding of Australian HSE Legislation: A strong understanding and working knowledge of Australian HSE legislation, mining legislation, and industry standards is required.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence: A valid Australian Driver's Licence is required.
- Proof of Right to Work in Australia: Proof of right to work in Australia is required.
