Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse to work in a state-of-the-art facility, providing care to patients with cancer.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work autonomously, and be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes patient care and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring the physical and psychological needs of patients are met.
  • Effectively manage patients each day, prioritizing their needs and ensuring timely treatment.
  • Foster effective lines of communication with all staff, provide feedback, and keep colleagues up-to-date on patient information.
  • Document all patient interactions, communicate with other healthcare professionals, and implement actions as necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines in line with best practice oncology nursing standards.
  • Ensure medication management protocols are followed at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Previous experience in Radiation Oncology and/or Medical Oncology is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with empathy for patients and carers.
  • Demonstrated clinical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate clinical management of care.
  • Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice principles.
  • Able to work collaboratively as a team member.
