Lead Mechanical Design Expert

About the Role: This is an exceptional opportunity to lead mechanical design efforts and contribute to the success of a major growth program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with expertise in design optimisation and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and improve the engineering design process to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality engineering resources, processes, and tools
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislations and standards
  • Provide technical input to project framing documents and participate in risk-based workshops

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in major projects, EPCM project delivery, and site operations
  • Demonstrated expertise in mechanical engineering design and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong experience with design of process plants
  • Ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Good technical and communication skills
  • Solutions-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
