Our organization is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker with experience in mental health to provide high-quality care services to individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to individuals with mental health needs, including medication administration and prompting
  • Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to manage medical appointments and ensure comprehensive care
  • Encourage and support individuals to participate in social and recreational activities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with mental health needs is essential
  • A caring and compassionate attitude towards individuals with disabilities is crucial
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors and maintain a calm demeanor in pressurized situations is vital
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings, is required

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Disability Support or higher is preferred
  • First Aid certification is essential
  • NDIS worker screening and NDIS workers orientation are mandatory
