Job Summary:

We are seeking a senior electrical professional to lead a team in completing statutory and general work orders on the mine.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed to high quality standards, within set timelines and budgets. They will also provide technical leadership for the surface electrical maintenance department and plan for the electrical equipment and systems to operate in demanding conditions at the mine site.

The role requires the ability to collaborate and communicate across different levels of the organization, with excellent project management skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Coordinate and lead a team to ensure Work Order compliance weekly and yearly including planning and execution.
  • Ensure projects are completed to time and budget, and to high quality standards.
  • Provide technical leadership for the surface electrical maintenance department.
  • Plan for the electrical equipment and systems to operate in demanding conditions at the mine site.
  • Assist the infrastructure manager by planning and providing engineering support for the production section.
  • Design, construct, and commission electrical equipment and systems.
  • Test, maintain, repair, and report on all electrical equipment used at the mine.
  • Provide trouble-shooting support to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Work cooperatively with other departments, project managers, supply chain, and mine management to optimize production, reduce costs, solve problems, and meet deadlines.

Key Qualifications:

  • A current Electrical License or Electrical tertiary qualification.
  • Electrical and Underground Mining Trade experience (advantageous).
  • S11, S123, and G2 qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering key projects.
  • Display ability to collaborate and communicate across different levels of the organization.
  • Project management skills to ensure the overhaul is delivered to scope, on time, and within budget.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
  • An intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
